Contra
Hometown Jamboree
First Saturday of every month, 6 to 9 pm.

It's an old-time country variety show with lots of Bluegrass, Folk, Country, Swing and popular tunes from the 40's and 50's. A chicken dinner too! All for $15 per person. You can buy tickets at the door but it is best to arrange tickets in advance as seating fills up fast.

Click on to Riley's at Los Rios website.

Contra Dance Night
Fourth Friday of every month, 6:30 to 9 pm

$10.00 per person.
Enrolled college students: $5.

It's a mixture of square dancing and the Virgina Reel. People dance in long lines, couples facing couples across the set. Beginners should come in at 6:30 for basic instruction.

Dennis Riley calls the figures to some of the best New England style dance music you'll ever hear - on C.D. Most of the dances include a walk-thru, so don't be afraid - it's easy. Young children will find this style of dancing a little too advanced so you might want to find a baby-sitter for them. There are lots of teens and college students - along with parents.

Tickets are sold at the door or you can call Sharon Riley for advance tickets.

 Gospel Night
Third Friday of every month, 6 to 9 pm

Many churches today have put their hymn books in the basement. Not here! Instead of screening the lyrics on the wall we put a hymn book in your hand so you can sing along in four part harmony. And just like the days gone by, a real piano accompanist leads us into each song. Folks choose their favorite hymn and call out the page number, taking turns at selecting familiar favorites.

We also feature local quartets and soloists that sing Barbershop and Bluegrass gospels in between the hymn-book singing. If you like, bring a favorite dish for the potluck that starts at 6 pm. Singing starts at 7 pm. No tickets, but there is a free-will offering.
