TEACHER'S TIPS

  • •Watch local weather forecast to have children dress appropriately  (it is always cooler here in Oak Glen).

  • •Arrive 30 minutes before scheduled time

  • Don't miss a portion of your tour by arriving late!   Make sure you come to the right farm.  We are  Riley's Apple Farm, not Riley's Farm.   Our sign looks like this:

  • Your group name will be on a sign-board in front of our farm the day of your tour .   Do not enter until you see that sign!

Your school, scout, church, senior, or birthday party group will take a trip back in time at Riley's Apple Farm!  We bring you 35 years of experience in giving groups historical tours that are  fun, educational, and hands-on. Our knowledgable tour guides, costumed in 1800s attire, will lead your group in activities of your choice.  Our activities include Cider Pressing, Rope Making, Archery, Nature Walk, Corn Husk Doll Making, Gold Panning, Kazoo Making, Corn Grinding, Johnny Cake Baking,  and Frontier Cabin Adventure.

Our 2 hour tour is $14 per person.  Our 4 hour tour is $14 per  adult and $17 per child. The teachers / group leaders get free admission (limited to 1 free admission per 25 people).  The minimum group size is 25 people for a 2 hour tour and 40 people for a 4 hour tour.  If your group is smaller than that, you might consider coming to one of our Home School Days (see main web page for details).
